Rls.6 Billion Allocated for Completion of Imam Khomeini Library in Isfahan

TEHRAN -- A sum of six billion rials has been allocated for completing the construction work of Imam Khomeini Library in Isfahan. According to the Public Relations Department of Isfahan Governorate, the money was earmarked for the library during the recent visit by the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ataollah Mohajerani to Isfahan. Some 6.5 billion rials has already been spent on the construction of the library.

This cultural center is being constructed in an area of 4,000 sq m. The library is able to keep some 100,000 volumes of books. During his visit to Isfahan, the minister of culture and Islamic guidance inspected the cultural-cinematic complex of the city as well as Isfahan Great Hall and the great project of Naqsh-e Jahan Treasury. The cultural-cinematic complex has been constructed in an area of 10,000 sq m with a build-up area of more 11,500 sq m.

Some 2.9 billion rials has been thus far spent on the construction of the amphitheater, specialized library and different classrooms for offering artistic courses in the complex. The required fund for completing the construction of the complex has been estimated at 10.9 billion rials. The Great Hall of Isfahan is located in the center of city beside the historical building of Hasht-Behesht. Naqsh-e Jahan Treasury is also under construction in Isfahan. It includes some 200 pavilions, and some five billion rials has so far been spent on its construction.
